I'm Kimberly, born and raised in Los Angeles, and now proudly serving the Long Beach community from my private salon suite, Hair By Kim.

​I've been in the industry for over ten years. I started out in weddings, at red carpet events, and on set, where I learned to create polished, camera-ready looks under pressure. Eventually I chose to work solely in the salon, where I could build lasting relationships with my clients. Today I specialize in effortless, lived-in blonding, dimensional color, grey coverage, smoothing treatments, and soft, flowing layers for medium to long hair, with tailored cuts that fit your lifestyle. My mission is simple: enhance the natural beauty that's already there, rather than change it, while keeping your hair healthy and wearable.

​I know how important self-care is, and in everyone's busy lives, finding time to put yourself first can be challenging. I want your experience in my chair to be an escape, a place where you can truly relax and be yourself. Whether you prefer a silent appointment to unwind, a chance to catch up from your last visit, or even a moment to get some work done, your time here is 100% yours. My goal is always for you to leave feeling refreshed, recharged, empowered, and confident.

​Education and growth are central to my work. I continuously invest in advanced training to stay current with evolving techniques and trends, ensuring every client leaves with hair that’s beautiful, effortless, and personalized. I believe the best results come from collaboration — together, we create a look that fits your lifestyle, your budget, and your long-term hair goals.​

 

Outside the salon, I love traveling,  discovering new coffee spots and trying out recipes I find online—so if you have any favorites, send them my way! I’m also a gamer at heart, with story-driven games being my favorite. When winter rolls around, you’ll catch me snowboarding, and at the end of the day, nothing beats relaxing with my goofy bulldog, Gigi.
